bench photometer

A device used to compare the luminous intensities of two sources by locating a point between the two light sources where the produced flux densities are equal. The luminous intensities of the two sources are proportional to the square of their distances from that common point. For this measurement two sources are mounted, near the extremities of the scale of an optical bench, and the photometer head, a device that receives and compares the illuminations from opposite directions, is placed between them.
