attoampere

An attoampere (aA) is a unit of electric current in the International System of Units (SI). It is equal to one quintillionth (10-18) of an ampere. The ampere, symbolized as "A," is the base unit of electric current in the SI system, and it is named after the French physicist André-Marie Ampère.

To put it into perspective:

1 ampere (A) = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 attoamperes (aA)

1 attoampere (aA) = 0.000000000000000001 amperes (A)

The attoampere is typically used to measure extremely small electrical currents, such as those encountered in sensitive electronic circuits, quantum computing, and certain types of scientific research where very low currents are involved.
