absorptance

Absorptance refers to the fraction of incident electromagnetic radiation (such as light or infrared radiation) that is absorbed by a surface, rather than being reflected or transmitted. It is a measure of how well a material absorbs radiation at a specific wavelength or over a range of wavelengths. Absorptance is typically represented by a value between 0 and 1, where 0 indicates no absorption (all radiation is either reflected or transmitted), and 1 indicates complete absorption (no radiation is reflected or transmitted, all is absorbed).
