SCC offers an Electronics Engineering Technician - AAS degree which includes Photonics Theory and Lab classes based on curricula written by the National Center for Optics and Photonics Education (OP-TEC). Other classes in the program include RF Communications (including fiber optics), the Internet of Things, Microprocessors and DSP, Computer Systems, and Digital Concepts. Our graduates find employment, across the country, with a wide variety of companies including electronic equipment manufacturers, medical equipment manufacturers, service and repair companies, and hospitals. Classes are designed to develop the skills necessary to help engineers design and develop new electronic products, and to evaluate, test, troubleshoot, and repair existing products.
