Thomas Quenzel

Thomas Quenzel, Ph.D., obtained his bachelor of science in photonics from the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, followed by a master of science in engineering physics from the University of Oldenburg. He continued his academic career at the University of Oldenburg, where he earned his doctorate in Physics with a research focus on nonlinear amplifier design for the investigation of ultrafast dynamics between short-lived quasi-particles.

In 2023, Quenzel joined Menlo Systems GmbH as product manager for optical frequency combs, overseeing the development and strategic positioning of leading high-precision photonic technologies for various applications. Since 2024, he has additionally served as product manager for quantum laser solutions, contributing to the advancement and commercialization of state-of-the-art laser technologies for applications in quantum science.
