Dr. Thomas Brukilacchio, President and Co-founder of Innovations in Optics Inc. (IOI), has been IOI’s visionary, lighting the way forward for high-technology solid-state illuminators and systems. With more than 80 U.S. and international patents, Brukilacchio provides the expertise and thought leadership that anchor IOI’s success in solar, industrial, and medical markets. His pioneering work and commitment to excellence have established IOI as a trusted name in cutting-edge solid-state electro-optical systems. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Optical Engineering from the prestigious Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester, and a doctorate from the School of Engineering at Tufts University. His dissertation work was completed at The NMR Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, in affiliation with Harvard Medical School’s Department of Radiology and the Photon Migration Laboratory. Brukilacchio is recognized as a world-renowned expert in solid-state illumination technology and optical system design.
