Mark Boyle, Ph.D., and his team focus on the development and support of products for a wide range of technologies, including laser welding, resistance welding, micro-TIG welding, reflow soldering, laser marking, laser cutting, and laser micromachining.

As a leader in micro-welding processes, AMADA WELD TECH provides equipment solutions for a wide variety of industries. Boyle and his team identify emerging trends and requests in this area for future process and product development.

Previously in Boyle's career, he focused on a range of laser-based applications using continuous-wave and pulsed-fiber, diode-pumped solid-state, and ultrafast lasers. He obtained a bachelor of science in physics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in physics, with the specialty of laser-matter interaction from the Free University in Berlin, Germany. Boyle is also a member of the American Welding Society.
