Their event-based vision sensor (EVS) realises fast data output with low latency by detecting changes in brightness, which each pixel records asynchronously and outputs together with the coordinate and time information.
This makes the camera suitable, for example, for high-speed imaging, capturing the smallest object sizes and for motion tracking, movement analyses, monitoring and counting processes.

The temporal resolution is less than 100µs. This means that even the fastest movements can be captured with a equivalent image-based frame rate of more than 10,000 FPS without motion blur.

uEye EVS cameras produce results even in extremely low light conditions. Thanks to the pixel technology, the event-based sensor recognises changes in contrast down to 0.08 lux.

Inspired by the human eye, the EVS sensor technology focuses on capturing pixel movements and transmitting them with coordinates and time stamps.
