KARLSRUHE, Germany, Jan. 8, 2025 — Physik Instrumente has appointed Beate van Loo-Born CFO. Van Loo-Born brings over twenty years of international leadership experience across financial services and data technology sectors, spanning roles at UBS and the Swiss Stock Exchange.

GARBSEN, Germany — Provider of laser-based solutions LPKF Laser & Electronics SE has added Peter Mümmler as CFO on an initial contract term of three years, effective April 1. Mümmler's experience includes 20 years in executive-level finance and strategic leadership roles — most recently serving as interim CFO and managing director at Heramba Plc.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. — NUBURU, Inc., an industrial blue laser developer, has appointed Dario Barisoni and Shawn Taylor to its board of directors, increasing its size to six. Barisoni has 20 years of experience in the technology sector, having most recently served as the co-founder and managing director of Bionexus. Taylor currently serves as CFO of Eight Capital Partners and has more than 20 years of experience in financial roles in sectors including software as a service, technology, media, and high-value intellectual property. He has held CFO roles at Bolt Global Media, Quickmove, Gibbs Hybrid, and Abal.

GUILDFORD, England — Airbus Defence and Space subsidiary Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) has added Andrew Cawthorne as managing director, effective immediately. Cawthorne brings over two decades of expertise in the space and technology sectors, having initially joined SSTL in 2004 as a systems engineer on the TopSat Imaging Project and as technical mission lead for NigeriaSat-2.
