OHARA manufactures more than 130 environmentally safe optical glass types, free of both lead and arsenic. More than 300 tons of optical glass are melted per month, available in the following forms of supply: strip/block, cut and molded blanks, pressings, fine gobs, and high homogeneity blanks (made from near-UV transmitting
i-Line High Homogeneity Glass).
OHARA’s SK-1300 Fused Silica is ideal for semiconductor equipment, filters, and high energy laser applications. SK-1300 Fused Silica advantages include extremely low bulk absorption and fluorescence, no laser damage at 1070 nm, high transmission from UV through near IR, high homogeneity, and low stress birefringence. Blank sizes range from 1 inch to 1 meter diameter.
Often made with SK-1300 Fused Silica are OHARA’s double-side
lapped Polished Substrates with low surface roughness and excellent flatness. Sizing for polished substrates ranges from 150, 200 & 300 mm diameter × 0.5-5mm thick and other custom sizes.
OHARA also manufactures
CLEARCERAM®-Z an Ultra Low Expansion glass with excellent CTE uniformity and blank forms up to 1.8 m in diameter. Other products include
NANOCERAM™, Glass-Ceramic Substrates (
WMS™-15,
GD-FHT™, and
LICGC™),
UV and Infrared materials (germanium, silicon, zinc sulfide, sapphire, and more), and
Optical Crystals (CaF
2, BaF
2, and more).
