For velocity measurement, an all-fiber Doppler velocity interferometer never needs alignment and measures velocity histories with subnanosecond time resolution and less than 0.01 m/s velocity resolution. Fiber-coupled photodetector modules have sensitivities to 1.6 million V/W and bandwidths to more than 10 GHz.
