Sylvie Menezo who has been appointed CTO. Crowley joins Scintil following his recent role as senior director of business development at Qualcomm. Crowley was also appointed senior strategic advisor of Sheba Microsystems
in June.

Malay brings extensive expertise in deposition on flexible substrates, physical vapor deposition, and characterization as well as with application and industrial integration for end users. Along with lab duties, he will represent INTELLIVATION at organizations such as the Association of Roll-to-Roll Converters and the International Converting Exhibition.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Optica and the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft have named
Michael Fleischhauer the recipient of the 2025 Herbert Walther Award. The award commemorates Max Planck Institute of Quantum Physics professor Herbert Walther's innovations in quantum optics and atomic physics. Fleischhauer is a professor of theoretical physics at the Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität (RPTU) Kaiserslautern-Landau. He is honored for key contributions in nonlinear quantum optics as well as photonic and atomic quantum technologies — in particular for the development of a toolbox to coherently control multi-level atoms with light, including the concept of dark state polaritons and Rydberg dipole blockade physics.
