Headwall Photonics is a leading developer and provider of hyperspectral imaging systems for applications as diverse as food and pharmaceutical inspection and grading, environmental monitoring, mining, defense/security, and biomedical sensing and analysis.

Remote Sensing
Headwall’s payload and turnkey airborne hyperspectral imaging packages combine our advanced sensors with a high-performance GPS/IMU to be mounted on a lightweight drone/UAV. LiDAR is also available for many configurations. Our solutions are fully tested with training available at our facility, through authorized partners, or online.

Machine Vision
Our award-winning MV-series imagers and systems overcome the obstacle of handling vast amounts of raw hyperspectral data. When paired with perClass Mira software, spectral-classification model development is simplified by combining our high-performance imaging spectrometers with the industry’s most intuitive software to collect imaging data and extract actionable results in real time.

Scanning Kits, Lenses, and Illumination
A variety of sensors can be mounted on our scanning kits for use on the benchtop or in the factory or processing facility. Headwall also offers broadband lighting systems for wavelengths that match the sensitivity and wavelength ranges of our sensors. A variety of lenses are available to enable imaging data acquisition over a range of fields-of-view: wide, narrow, close, or distant.

Software
Data collection is only part of the story at Headwall. Powerful image processing software not only manages the hardware, but also processes and interprets the data after download. Real-time spectral classification is also possible with many configurations.
