Both the pE-800 and pE-800fura feature eight powerful and efficient LEDs for broad spectral coverage and individual channel control. While the pE-800 covers fluorophores from DAPI to Cy7 (365 - 740 nm), the pE-800fura is ideal for scientists primarily researching calcium, covering Fura-2 to Cy5 (340 - 635 nm).

Lightning-fast <7 µs TTL triggering is ideal for capturing dynamic events or enhancing accuracy of ratiometric measurements — for example with Fura-2 calcium imaging. Moreover, reduced latency saves time during applications such as image tiling and when high throughput is vital. For live cell imaging, synchronizing the light source and camera also minimizes photobleaching and phototoxicity for more accurate data.
