FlexiRay square-core silica laser cables from art photonics are designed for applications that demand a more specialized solution for beam shaping and power distribution compared to traditional round-core fibers. The square core produces a uniform beam profile which is needed for applications requiring consistent energy density. Compared to round-core fibers, power transfer from diode lasers and to square detectors is significantly improved, minimizing loss and maximizing system performance. The cables are functional in a temperature range of -40 °C to 130 °C. FlexiRay cables are terminated with D80 or HP-SMA connectors with each connector featuring an integrated key. The entire assembly is protected by robust tubing, making it suitable for medical, industrial, and scientific systems.
