Imaging 100-Year-Old Shipwrecks Under 800 Feet of Water

Author: Andrea Van, Jon Boucher Friday, September 12, 2025
Jerry Eliason uncovered the Henry B. Smith and Scotiadoc—the Great Lakes’ deepest wrecks—using Theia’s MY125M lens. At over 800 feet, zero light, and heavy particulates, the ultra-wide, distortion-free lens paired with precision lighting, custom housings, and dynamic positioning allowed close-range imaging for unprecedented HD visuals.
