Shanghai Optics offers custom optical glass domes for demanding applications across aerospace, defense, underwater imaging, and environmental monitoring. These hemispheric domes, with parallel surfaces, ensure clear optical transmission while protecting sensitive systems. Available in sizes from 5 mm to 200+ mm, they support visible, UV, and IR ranges depending on substrate. Options include BK7/Fused Silica for visible/UV light, Sapphire for scratch-resistant IR use, Germanium for 2–14 µm IR with coating options, ZnSe for broader IR (3–16 µm), and MgF₂ ceramic for extreme durability in missiles and launch tubes. Acrylic domes are also available.
