Nvidia Details Plans to use Silicon Photonics to Scale AI Factories
NVIDIA announced plans to adopt silicon photonics and co-packaged optics to scale its AI architecture. Scientists led by Tobias Kippenberg have developed a photonic-chip-based traveling-wave parametric amplifier for communication networks. Marine technology company, Kraken Robotics, is acquiring 3D at Depth. Rocket Lab USA, a provider of launch services and space systems, is entering into an agreement to acquire a controlling position in Mynaric. ASML and imec are partnering to advance their research and sustainability. Hamamatsu Photonics has just completed construction on a new factory in South Korea. And Intel has named Lip-Bu Tan as its new CEO.
