PI hexapods are engineered to simplify even the most demanding 6-axis motion and alignment tasks, thanks to their parallel-kinematic design, advanced control algorithms, and user-friendly software tools. Unlike traditional stacked-stage systems, hexapods provide true six degrees of freedom — X, Y, Z, pitch, roll, and yaw — in a compact, rigid structure that minimizes inertia and improves dynamic performance. This results in faster positioning, higher stiffness, and better repeatability, which are critical in precision automation and metrology applications.
One of the key advantages of PI's hexapod systems is their ability to operate in any spatial orientation, whether mounted horizontally, vertically, or upside down.
