The S-335 from PI is a two-axis fast steering mirror for directing laser light or improving image resolution by correcting errors in a wavefront before it reaches an imaging sensor. The mirror is based on solid-state piezo drives and has a long angular travel range along with closed-loop controls with feedback sensors. The S-335 can provide 35 mrad of mechanical angular deflection in two axes and 70 mrad optical deflection.
