The SiLWIR^™ (Silicon LWIR) series from Midwest Optical Systems features diamond-like carbon- and double-sided antireflective-coated silicon LWIR protective windows for thermal imaging. The windows can be used in the LWIR 8 - 12 µm range, in industries such as defense, industrial inspection, medical diagnostics, and environmental monitoring. The product series is an alternative to germanium LWIR windows.
