Live Streams for Sharp Decisions

Monitoring and inspection are the keys to successful automation of industrial processes. Modern camera technologies with highly developed sensors record different situations around the clock and provide high-quality video streams, even in difficult environments. With monitoring cameras, IDS uses its industry-specific expertise to offer an easily integrated, stand-alone solution for 24/7 monitoring and visualization of industrial processes.
A new approach to industrial monitoring: IDS' monitoring cameras from the uEye Live product line enable reliable, high-resolution monitoring of processes in standalone operation. Users benefit from video streaming, hardware-accelerated video encoding and event-based recording. Multiple parallel, individually configurable streams offer versatility and efficiency for live monitoring, post analysis, or system integration.
Live Streaming
IDS' monitoring cameras offer an uninterrupted live view of processes that cannot be observed by people on site. The high image quality helps to analyze even the smallest details and draw precise conclusions. This makes it possible to monitor machines, to check wear and tear, or to adopt the perspective of robots in automated logistics systems. uEye Live cameras also support you in applications such as the central monitoring of flight and container port activities or activities in logistics centres.
The use of modern edge technology with an efficient SoC from Ambarella allows the camera to directly edit, process, filter, or evaluate image data. Instead of sending single raw images, the camera transmits up to three parallel video streams, either compressed via RTSP protocol and H264 or via HTTP in MJPEG format directly to various end devices. A PC is not required for camera operation. The camera therefore fulfills various requirements, such as live monitoring, detailed post-analysis, and integration into different systems.
Event Recording
Monitoring cameras enable the flexible playback of video sequences on demand. Event-based recording in the camera memory allows the last few seconds before an incident to be played back, for a revealing "look into the past". This function allows complete documentation of machine malfunctions or failures. This allows organizations to react quickly and draw precise conclusions in order to optimize processes.
