Courtesy of CMC Electronics.CMC Electronics’ indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) hybrid receivers are designed for military and aerospace optical system integration, featuring low-noise InGaAs avalanche photodiodes and quadrant PIN detectors engineered for high sensitivity and high-speed performance. These hermetically sealed detectors provide enhanced signal-to-noise ratio and responsivity across the 1064-1550-nm spectral range. Achievable specifications include bandwidths up to 450 MHz and responsivity up to 100 MV/W at the minimum NEP operating point, with available configurations offering multiple active-area diameters, fiber-pigtail or receptacle interfaces, optional thermoelectric cooling, automatic gain control, fast overload recovery, and ambient-light rejection. The detectors are available for evaluation and can be customized to support rapid prototyping and scaling for optical system developers.
