The UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) appointed Allan Anderson, managing director of ClearView Imaging, its new chairman at a recent annual members’ meeting.

Anderson, who previously held the position of vice chairman of UKIVA, took the reins of the organization, replacing Paul Wilson. Anderson will hold his new position for another two years to complete his four-year cycle as vice chair and chair. Neil Sandhu, national product manager at SICK (UK), took Anderson’s former position of vice chairman. As the vice chairman, Anderson was a leading visionary for the creation of the UKIVA Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition (MVC).

“UKIVA recognized the need for an independent machine vision event in the U.K., and with the hard work of many people, we have made it a reality,” he said. Anderson recognized the accomplishments of the association under the direction of Wilson, the departing chair, noting the significant growth of the association during his term.

Sandhu, the new UKIVA vice chair, brings extensive experience to his new role, and as a well-established member, he will continue UKIVA’s efforts to promote the benefits of vision technology to even more clients.
