TOPTICA Appoints Vice President of Production: People In the News: 10/8/25
Energetiq Technology appointed Vikram Singh president. Singh will oversee daily operations and lead initiatives across all product lines. Debbie Gustafson will remain CEO of Energetiq and take on a new role as president of Photonics Management Corporation, the holding company for Hamamatsu Photonics’ North American subsidiaries, including Energetiq, Fairchild Imaging, and Hamamatsu Corporation. Singh joined Energetiq in 2013 as vice president and general manager of the laser-drive light source business unit. He has more than two decades of experience in technology, operations, and engineering, and has held senior roles at semiconductor companies.

GRÄFELFING, Germany — TOPTICA Photonics SE appointed Matthias Hohenleutner vice president of production, in what the company called a strategic leadership transition to increase the complexity of TOPTICA’s production environment. Hohenleutner joined TOPTICA in 2016 as an R&D project manager, focusing on frequency comb technologies. In 2018, he transitioned to lead the team building custom-built ultrafast systems and laser reference solutions. Hohenleutner will succeed Mathias Schindler, who has served for over a decade in the role and who will now focus on global competitiveness and efficiency.
GARDNER, Mass. — Precision Optics Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of advanced optical instruments, appointed Joseph Traut COO. Traut will lead the operations team's production and engineering activities in Massachusetts, Maine, and Texas. Before joining Precision Optics, Traut held senior operations management roles in multiple medical device companies.
CUPERTINO, Calif. — Mojo Vision, a micro-LED platform company, appointed Waguih Ishak to its advisory board. This announcement follows a recent $75M Series B funding round and will help to deploy Mojo Vision’s technology in AI data centers and AI glasses. Ishak was previously vice president and chief technologist at Corning for 16 years, vice president and CTO of Avago Technologies, and had nearly three decades as vice president and director of the Photonics Research Lab at Agilent/HP.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — BrightSpec, a molecular rotational resonance spectroscopy company, appointed Rick Gordon CEO. Gordon grew the company Halo Labs from the first product revenues through multiple funding rounds to its acquisition by Waters Corporation in May 2025. With more than 25 years of experience, he has held roles at Unchained Labs, Forte’Bio, and Molecular Devices.
DELFT, Netherlands — Robby Ferdinandus has been appointed member of the executive board at quantum electronic supplier, Delft Circuits. Ferdinandus has experience from NXP and Nexperia, where he built and scaled global businesses in the semiconductor industry. He will help to lead global sales and system engineering to accelerate the scaling of some of the largest quantum companies.
