Machine vision camera developer and manufacturer SVS-Vistek acquired Mikrotron GmbH, a high-speed vision solutions provider. The acquisition of 100% of the shares in Mikrotron is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2022.

The two camera manufacturers now belong to the parent company TKH Vision. TKH acquired SVS-Vistek in September 2019.

According to a press release, the merger will offer customers of both companies synergies with a focus on high-performance, high-end cameras with high speed and high resolution. The merger will bring together more than 90 employees. The setup is intended to create synergies for the development and use of high-end cameras in particular, which stand out from the competition in terms of speed and resolution.

All previous Mikrotron employees will remain with the merged company. The companies will be located at the SVS-Vistek headquarters and production site in Gilching, Germany. Mikrotron cameras will continue to be developed, produced, distributed, and supported under the Mikrotron brand by the extended team at SVS-Vistek.
