Photonics Media recently located the three previous winners of the Teddi C. Laurin Scholarship and is pleased to report that each is doing well in his or her chosen field.

In 2016 Kaitlyn Williams was awarded the first Teddi C. Laurin Scholarship. A graduate student at the University of Arizona at the time, Williams was pursuing a master’s degree in optical engineering with a focus on lens design. While completing her degree, she worked as an optical systems engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems Co. Williams has since graduated and is now employed by Apple as an optical engineer.
