Quantum Computing Inc. Appoints Yuping Huang CEO on Permanent Basis
HOBOKEN, N.J., Dec. 23, 2025 — Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi), an integrated photonics and quantum optics technology company, has appointed Yuping Huang CEO on a permanent basis, beginning Jan. 1, 2026. Huang has served as interim CEO since April.
Huang has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles in quantum physics and technology. He has led projects that were funded by DARPA, NSF, the Department of Defense, and NASA, as well as private partners. Under Dr. Huang's leadership, QCi will continue refining its engineering and manufacturing processes, expanding Fab 1 operations, and laying the foundation for Fab 2 to enable volume production.
This news follows QCi’s proposed $110 million acquisition of Luminar Semiconductor Inc. Preceding that, in November, QCi, and POET Technologies partnered to develop a 400G/lane thin-film lithium niobate modulator-based 3.2-Tbps engine that will be designed to accommodate the next era of computing.
