Polito Named Melles Griot CFO
CARLSBAD, Calif., Dec. 15 -- William Polito was named CFO for worldwide operations at Melles Griot.
Polito was formerly finance director for Melles Griot Optics Group in Rochester, N.Y., and has been with the company for 17 years. Previously, he was controller at MD Laboratories. He replaces Eugene Smith, who will be finance director at Barloworld Scientific, Melles Griot's parent company.
Polito will report to Blake Fennell, CEO, and will manage finance, accounting, credit control and reporting for the company's operations in North America, Europe and Asia.
Melles Griot is a supplier of photonics products including optical components and systems, lasers, motion-control systems, laser measurement instrumentation, optomechanical hardware and vibration-isolated optical tables and workstations.
