Plus One Robotics, a provider of advanced AI vision software and solutions for robotic parcel handling, has raised $50 million in series C funding. With the funding, Plus One said it plans to increase its capacity and rapidly scale deployment, as well as expand sales and marketing efforts. Plus One’s solutions combine computer vision, AI, and supervised autonomy technology; the company has developed a parcel-handling robotics platform that aims to alleviate a shortage of manual labor through robotic solutions and streamline the parcel-picking and depalletizing processes. The company’s solution enables remote or on-premises supervision, including supervision of multiple robots from any location, speeding the robots’ ability to handle exceptions and enabling continual operations. Plus One Robotics’ solutions employ AI-powered software with end-of-arm robot grippers that provide the perception and manipulation necessary to pick and place parcels. According to the company, Plus One Robotics deployments perform over one million parcel picks each day in production. Courtesy of Business Wire. According to the company, users benefit from improved sorting and picking throughput by greater than 30% while decreasing operational costs. The series C funding brings the company’s total funding to date to nearly $100 million.
