Plainsight, a developer of computer vision AI solutions, has appointed Jonathan Simkins president and CFO, and Venky Renganathan CTO. Simkins will help scale Plainsight’s business operations and advance its mission to provide highly scalable, enterprise-ready infrastructure software for computer vision. Renganathan will expand the company’s infrastructure capabilities, focusing on the advancement of Plainsight’s ability to deliver enterprise scalable, end-to-end solutions that integrate into existing ecosystems. Simkins has previous experience in machine learning, infrastructure, open source, cybersecurity, and investment banking. He was most recently the founder and CEO of Kosai, an open-source supply chain security company acquired by Root.io in August. Renganathan is an enterprise technology leader with more than two decades leading retail and technology companies worldwide. At Amazon Web Services, he spearheaded the development of data center automation platforms, integrating hardware, software, and workflows to drive efficiency and reliability at a global scale.
