HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Feb. 23, 2024 — Omron Automation will relocate its facility in Renton, Wash., outside Seattle, to Greer, S.C. The relocation is underway and expected to be complete by May. In addition, Omron is partnering with readySC, a division of the South Carolina Technical College System, to recruit and train its workforce in South Carolina.

Omron will use the facility to manufacture motion controllers and drives, barcode readers, and verification systems, with future plans to expand production to include technologies currently made in other global factories. As part of this expansion, Omron will also establish a proof-of-concept center where customers can see solutions in action, collaborate with experts, and proactively validate solutions.
