Nu Quantum Appoints CFO, Advisory Board Member: People in the News: 11/26/25

CAMBRIDGE, U.K., Nov. 26, 2025 — Nu Quantum, a distributed quantum company, appointed Richard Moulds to its advisory board. Moulds was the general manager of Amazon’s quantum computing service, Amazon Braket, where he helped launch Amazon Web Services’ first global quantum platform. Before Amazon, Moulds served as general manager of quantum cybersecurity startup, Whitewood Security.

Additionally, Jonathan Cumming was appointed CFO to lead Nu Quantum’s financial strategy and long-term growth. Cumming previously served as CFO of telecom company ONO, where he grew the company and managed its sale to Vodafone. He later served as CFO and COO of a global audiovisual services and media group in Barcelona, where he guided the company from administration to a €2 billion ($2.3B) exit over eight years.

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. — UbiQD, a quantum dot company, appointed Tony Beams as CFO. Beams previously held senior finance positions at AppHarvest, a large-format greenhouse development company, and Plenty, a vertical farming technology company, as well as Netflix and Headspace. He also served as CFO of Zordi, a developer of AI-powered greenhouse automation systems. Beams’ expertise spans capital strategy, scaling operations, and navigating the commercialization of hardware.

DUBAI, UAE — XPANCEO, a deep tech company, formed its Scientific Advisory Board, chaired by Nobel Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselov. The board was developed to guide PANCEO in developing its ultra-thin, multifunctional smart contact lens for XR computing, health monitoring, zoom, night vision, and other advanced features. Novoselov was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010 for the discovery and study of graphene, the world’s first two-dimensional material. Other members of the board are Igor Aharonovich, Andrei Kabashin, Boris Chichkov, and Alexey Slobozhanyuk, all of whom have experience in advanced materials. Additionally, experts in nanophotonics and optoelectronics, Luis Martin-Moreno, Alexandra Boltasseva, Aldo Di Carlo, and Kaustav Banerjee, are joining the board. Also joining is flexible and 2D nanoelectronics specialist Deji Akinwande, as well as Andrey Volkov, bringing commercialization expertise.
