MVTec Adds Qualcomm to Partner Program

MUNICH, Dec. 10, 2025 — Machine vision software company MVTec Software has established a technology collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, adding the company to its Technology Partner Program. Through this partnership, users of MVTec’s industrial image processing software HALCON will be able to access Qualcomm Dragonwing processors’ high performance NPUs (Neural Processing Units).

The partnership provides particular benefit to smart camera users, allowing much greater speed and efficiency in running deep learning applications. As a first step, MVTec is developing an interface between its HALCON software and the Qualcomm Dragonwing RB3 Gen 2, leveraging Qualcomm’s upstream Linux and AI framework.
