MORRISTOWN, N.J., March 10 -- Bellcore, the telecommunications pioneer, has a new name: Telcordia Technologies. As Bellcore, the company developed many of the basic technologies for today's communications networks. Telcordia will concentrate on the development of next-generation networks that can deliver existing services (cable, Internet, voice and data service) as well as new offerings (e-commerce, unified messaging, voiceover packet services) over a single network.
