G&H Acquires GS Optics, Artemis Optical
G&H has made its second acquisition in less than a month, acquiring Artemis Optical, a developer and manufacturer of thin-film coatings. The deal is worth up to £8.9 million ($11.5 million). The acquired company will operate under the name G&H | Artemis.
In June, G&H acquired GS Optics, a designer and manufacturer of polymer optics, in a $15.7 million transaction. The addition of Artemis Optical, G&H said, complements its GS Optics purchase by further advancing the parent company’s position in the aerospace, defense, and life sciences sectors. Artemis Optical employs 40 people. G&H plans for the newly acquired Artemis site in Plymouth, England, to become a center of excellence for coatings.
