Flexxbotics Adds Compatibility for Cognex, Hexagon Products

BOSTON, June 7, 2024 — Flexxbotics, a robotic workcell digitalization company, is now making its manufacturing robot-to-vision technology solution compatible with vision solutions from Cognex and inspection equipment from Hexagon. Flexxbotics’ compatibility includes the full range of Cognex’s In-Sight vision systems and vision sensors as well as Hexagon’s DMIS and TEMPO coordinate measuring machines, NC measuring software, Q-DAS product line, and Intelligent Machine Control.

The compatibility is facilitated through Flexxbotics’ FLexxCORE technology, which enables the robots to securely connect and communicate with Cognex and Hexagon machines. The robots receive closed-loop feedback based on automated inspection results enabling real-time adjustments to CNC machine programs for autonomous process control.

The Flexxbotics robotic workcell digitalization was developed for smart factory applications. Its SaaS/hybrid architecture runs both online and offline for continued production withstanding internet access and works with existing business systems such as CAD/CAM, DNC, SCADA/HMI, IIoT, MES, ERP, PLM, and others for process integration.
