Edmund Optics Appoints Chair, CEO, as Robert Edmund Retires
Edmund Optics has named Samuel Sadoulet CEO, succeeding Robert Edmund, who has retired. Sadoulet assumes responsibilities effective immediately.

Edmund earlier this week announced that Marisa Edmund had been appointed chair of the board of directors, succeeding Robert Edmund.
“Samuel has the unique blend of vision, technical expertise, and global business acumen to lead the company into the future,” Marisa Edmund said. “Samuel has played such a vital role in the expansion and growth of our company, and I look forward to our continued partnership.”
Sadoulet has 25 years of management and engineering experience at Edmund Optics, with technical expertise in physics and optical sciences. He has held several operational roles at the company, serving most recently as president and chief operating officer. He previously held the role of executive vice president of engineering and manufacturing.
Sadoulet is also chair of the executive committee of SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, and a member of A3, the Association for Advancing Automation.
