Clessidra Private Equity SGR has acquired MiCROTEC, a provider of scanning solutions for the wood processing and food quality control markets. Clessidra made the acquisition from Austrian tech firm GSS GmbH. Per the acquisition, MiCROTEC founder and president, Federico Giudiceandrea, will retain his stake in the company and continue involvement in the company’s R&D strategy. Giudiceandrea will also reinvest in the business. CEO Frank Jöst and chief strategic officer Arianna Giudiceandrea will continue to lead the company.
