Basler Acquires Stake in Roboception, Adds Logistics, Factory Automation Capabilities

AHRENSBURG, Germany, June 13, 2024 — Basler AG has acquired 25.1% of the shares in Roboception GmbH, an intelligent 3D sensor technology developer. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The two companies have been cooperating in sales since 2021 and collaborated on the development of 3D image processing solutions that enable robotic systems to reliably capture and analyze their environment. According to Basler CFO/COO Hardy Mehl, the current investment will fuel development of Roboception’s 3D vision technology for applications such as logistics and factory automation.
