MUNICH, May 31, 2023 — Christoph Glingene, CEO of optical networking company ADVA, will step down and transition to his previous role as CTO for ADVA, effective June 30, and will continue as CTO for Adtran. Tom Stanton will be appointed as ADVA’s CEO, effective July 1, and will continue in his role as CEO of Adtran. ADVA and Adtran finalized a business combination last year.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rivada Networks, a provider of satellite-based optical networking, added former U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo to its board of directors. Pompeo served as the 70th U.S. secretary of state from 2018-2021. Prior to his role as secretary of state, Pompeo served as director of the Central Intelligence Agency and represented Kansas’ 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

additive manufacturing
Additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing, is a manufacturing process that involves creating three-dimensional objects by adding material layer by layer. This is in contrast to traditional manufacturing methods, which often involve subtracting or forming materials to achieve the desired shape. In additive manufacturing, a digital model of the object is created using computer-aided design (CAD) software, and this digital model is then sliced into thin cross-sectional layers. The...
holography
Holography is a technique used to capture and reconstruct three-dimensional images using the principles of interference and diffraction of light. Unlike conventional photography, which records only the intensity of light, holography records both the intensity and phase information of light waves scattered from an object. This allows the faithful reproduction of the object's three-dimensional structure, including its depth, shape, and texture. The process of holography typically involves the...
3d printing
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing (AM), is a manufacturing process that builds three-dimensional objects layer by layer from a digital model. This technology allows the creation of complex and customized structures that would be challenging or impossible with traditional manufacturing methods. The process typically involves the following key steps: Digital design: A three-dimensional digital model of the object is created using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This...
integrated circuit
Multiple, interconnected circuit elements, contained on or in a common substrate, that function as a unit and not separately.
