Adept Technology Previews New Semiconductor Robot at Semicon West 2001
SAN JOSE, Calif., July 16 -- Adept Technology Inc., a manufacturer of flexible automation for the telecommunications, fiber optic and semiconductor industries, announced the first public showing of the AdeptVicron 310D dual arm robot, designed for semiconductor wafer handling, at the Semicon West 2001 tradeshow (Adept booth #3306) in San Francisco, Calif., which runs July 16th - 20th.
"The AdeptVicron 310D robot, driven by Adept's world class AdeptWindows controller, provides customers with unprecedented throughput and efficiency," said Joe Campbell, vice president of marketing for Adept Technology. "We provide a unique controller architecture with integrated support for multiple robot mechanisms, additional motion axes, peripheral control, and machine vision, with a common programming language and application layer."
The AdeptVicron 310D is a four axis, class 1 compatible robot designed for high throughput 200 and 300 mm inspection, metrology and wafer process tools.
