360networks announced that it no longer intends to acquire NetRail, a wholesale Internet service provider, in an all-stock transaction. The company had announced plans to acquire NetRail earlier this year.
Jay Zakrzewski has joined the Acton Research Corp. team as director of business development. Zakrzewski's background includes seventeen years in the optics, coatings, grating and instrumentation fields. In his new position he will direct the company's products for the Instrument Division into the industrial marketplace and he will also focus on strategic partnerships for technologies that are necessary for the future of Acton's instrumentations line.
