Procomp Orders Several New Systems from Aixtron

HSIN CHE, Taiwan, June 7 -- Procomp, a leading supplier of p-HEMTs and HBTs, has decided to ramp up capacity by purchasing several more AIX 2600G3 systems. The orders are slated for delivery sometime this year.
Sophie Yeh, chairperson for Procomp, decided to order the systems from Aixtron due to the excellent cost ratio of the Aixtron Planetary Reactors. The driving factors for production costs are capacity, uptime and precursor efficiency, all of which the Aixtron MOVPE systems have proven their competitive edge on, the company said.
The Aixtron group offers a wide range of epitaxial systems for MOVPE, VPE and LPE from R&D-oriented systems up to large-scale Planetary Reactor production systems for up to 25" x 4" or 9" x 6" wafers.
