Adept Technology Inc., a manufacturer of flexible automation for the telecommunications, fiber optic and semiconductor industries, announced the introduction of the first product offering in a family of new distributed motion and vision controllers, the Adept SmartController, at the Robots & Vision show, which is taking place June 5-7 in Rosemont, Ill.
ADC introduced its MEMS-based low port count, optical switch at the Supercomm trade show. ADC's new MEMS switch is designed to advance all-optical networks with increased switching speeds, greater integration, significant space savings, and lower costs for optical communication systems. The MEMS switch is on display at ADC's Supercomm 2001 booth (No. 3548) in Atlanta, June 5-8.
