Corning Inc. introduced a new undersea optical fiber optimized for unrepeatered (short-haul) submarine networks. Corning's Vascade L1000 fiber demonstrates 30 percent greater information-carrying capacity than standard single-mode fiber, enabling network designers to achieve lowest-cost-per-bit transmission in their short-haul undersea networks, the company said.
Adept Technology announced that it will feature the Adept SmartController series, a new family of high-performance distributed motion and vision controllers, at the Robot & Vision show (Booth # 313), June 5-7, in Rosemont, IL.
