Rocky Mountain Instruments Wins $2.2 Million Contract

LAFAYETTE, Colo., May 15 -- Rocky Mountain Instrument Co., a manufacturer of laser and imaging optics and thin-film coatings, has been awarded a $2.2 million contract with Textron Systems. The contract is for the delivery of mission critical infrared and near infrared lenses used for lasing and sensing in the BLU-108 smart submunition. The company credited its extensive manufacturing and coating expertise for meeting the stringent optical and mechanical requirements of the lenses.
