Melles Griot and GSI Lumonics Team Up

ELY, England, April 5 – GSI Lumonics and Melles Griot have agreed to work together to mutually enhance their ability to supply manufacturing solutions to fiber optic telecommunication component manufacturers.
The agreement brings together GSI Lumonics' proficiency in making Nd:YAG lasers for laser welding applications, its process expertise and systems integration skills with Melles Griot's expertise in nanopositioning, machine vision and vibration isolation. The companies hope to deliver "Total Solutions" to the telecommunications component manufacturing market. Both parties have global support networks in place and are current suppliers to the market.
