Cable & Wireless, Acterna Sign Test Equipment Pact

GERMANTOWN, Md., March 12 -- Acterna reports that Cable & Wireless has purchased its ANT-10Gig test solution that includes hardware, customized training and support for the US and Australian markets. The agreement is valued at more than $6 million.
The ANT-10Gig is an all-in-one test solution for synchronous network technology combining bit rates from 1.5 Mb/s to 10 Gb/s. Cable & Wireless, which is upgrading its optical network throughout the world, uses ANT-10Gig instruments to turn up, maintain and troubleshoot its OC-192/c and STM-64/c facilities. The contract includes 24 ANT-10Gig analyzers for US cities that include New York, Washington, D.C. and Miami. In addition, Cable & Wireless Optus has ordered five ANT-10Gig analyzers.
