The 2000 Photonics Awards ceremony and reception, held Jan. 22 in the Regent Club at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, Calif., hosted nearly 200 executives and scientists. This annual event applauded one individual and 25 companies that were chosen for their achievements in the photonics industry.
